NSRL at University of Illinois
The National Soybean Research Laboratory is located at the University of Illinois and promotes soybean research, education and outreach in the areas of production, nutrition and international development.
NSRL is involved in a broad range of products and programs from exploring the genetics of soybeans to assessing the demands of the consumer. We respond to marketplace challenges and aim to serve the needs of soybean producers, processors and consumers.
Our goals are to enhance soybean productivity, create new food uses, evaluate commodity market channels and disseminate information about soy through training and outreach programs.
On behalf of the University of Illinois we are a service and research outsource for industry. We collaborate with the Illinois Soybean Association and the American Soybean Association. We form public and private partnerships to manage soybean related research projects. Our international outreach involves incorporating soy to overcome malnutrition and discovering ways to use soy for economic development.
